FolkMog – Morgan Sports Car Club
FolkMog – the Eastern Counties area for the Morgan Sports Car Club
The ‘Morgan Sports Car Club’ supports around 40 ‘area centres’ worldwide , the ‘Eastern Counties Centre’ being one of these. The centre is known as ‘FolkMog’, although that has not always been the case.
The Morgan Sports Car Club was formed in 1951 as the ‘4/4 Club’. The focus was on racing, rallying and treasure hunts, and the social side did not start to properly develop until the 1960’s. The London Centre was formed around 1965, followed by the Northern Centre in 1968, with the East Anglian Centre (now AngleMog) appearing on the scene in about 1969, being listed as a centre in ‘Miscellany’ in 1970. It was in 1970 that members voted for the club name to change to the ‘Morgan Sports Car Club’
Invited by Anglemog to join them for a picnic lunch at Ickworth a National Trust property in Horringer, near Bury St Edmunds on the 24th July 2011. Parking in front of the Rotunda, backing onto the Terrace wall and facing the Rotunda.

Cars, in general, possess both form and function. Sports cars may be an example of the best combination of the two.There is something about sports cars that make them stand out when it comes to beauty. And that does not apply to just external features only.
Some physical features like, sleekness of the car help determine its beauty.
Sports cars just seem to have an attitude. They are not like mere cars whose presence can be ignored. They captivate the eyes of those who see them. They imply thrills and enjoyment every time you get your hands on the steering wheel.
Sports cars stand above other cars, that you see every day, primarily because their design implies what they are capable of doing. A sleek look really matches a car with high performance capabilities.
Sports cars power comes from their high performance engines. A sports car can do more than ordinary driving tasks because of the features that only they possess.
Ordinary cars can make driving monotonous and boring, while on the other hand, sports cars primarily delivers a “high” feeling of speed and control. Only sports cars can provide that feel for drivers who seek adventure.
Sports cars return the thrill to driving. They express what other cars can not. Sports cars are not designed for practicality, but for pleasure.

Drivers appreciate the improvements that have been made to sports cars in recent years. You could say that sports car technology has infinite possibilities. The stereotypes of sports cars have long been debunked. Those limits have been crossed. The only thing that car enthusiasts can do is to watch as these improvements unfold before their very eyes. With all these things said about the intrinsic and extrinsic beauty that sports cars possess, only a person who does not appreciate their beauty and/or speed will not opt to get one.
Sports cars are inanimate objects. They cannot feel proud because they are beautiful, but their owners sure can.

Sports Cars question by : Why do all sports cars or sports sedans breaks seem to squeak?
All Nissan’s and infinitis tend to do it, Lamborghini’s do. My moms clk550 does and her breaks are good. Also on all sports cars and sports sedans why do you feel a pull more when u apply the breaks or even a little such as when my mom baggs out the garage with her clk550 going real slow and easing on the breaks and when my dad had his g35 coupe it did the same thing. Why do sports cars and sports sedans breaks work like that?

They have semi metallic brake pads. Metal on metal contact squeals. High performance ones squeal more when cold.
